Clinical Director

The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical programming at Avante Recovery Center. It is their role to assure that all policies and procedures have an “environment of care” component to provide a safe, functional & effective environment for patients, staff members, and others. The Director will provide training to all employees of the center in order to achieve this objective.

The Clinical Director will be responsible for recruiting, hiring and terminating clinical staff. They will supervise clinical staff which are not yet fully licensed. The Clinical Director will be responsible for clear communication between the Administrative Director and the Ownership. They will hold both support staff and clinical staff meetings. They will remain current on all clinical best practices associated with the population being served and disseminate information to other clinical staff regarding up-to-date information.

The Clinical Director will coordinate schedules of clinical staff and contracted services to assure all groups are facilitated. The Clinical Director will be the main point of contact for probation officers, courts, social services agencies and insurance companies regarding client care, unless otherwise designated to another staff member.

The Clinical Director will facilitate group psychotherapy, conduct substance use disorder and mental health assessments and have a caseload of clients for individual psychotherapy based on the need of the agency.

Work Experience: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in clinical services with at least 2 of those years working with substance use disorders, and at least one year in a management role.

Education: Minimum of a graduate degree in a mental health field. Additionally, the individual must be fully licensed and not require supervision. It is preferable that the Clinical Director have the capacity to supervise 2 clinicians, but exceptions may be made.

Mental Health Therapist

Responsibilities: The Mental Health Therapist will conduct group psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, substance use disorder and mental health assessments, provide crisis intervention and case management services as well as consultation to the broader clinical team in the form of clinical meetings and/or trainings in their respective area of expertise. The mental health therapist will be responsible for electronic medical record entry, progress reports to probation officers, courts etc. and any other necessary correspondence on behalf of the client.

Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a social service field with some prior knowledge/experience with substance use disorders preferred.

Education: Minimum of Graduate degree in Counseling Related field and current non-restricted licensure in the state of operation.

Substance Abuse Tech

Avante Recovery Center is a brand new, innovative treatment center focusing on substance use disorder and mental illness. Using the newest evidenced based treatment modalities, it provides an opportunity for individuals to reach and maintain recovery in a comfortable, inviting home.

Avante is currently seeking individuals for the role of Substance Abuse Tech.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the comfort and safety of the clients at the treatment center
  • Conduct safety checks of the facility and clients
  • Oversee self-administration of medication by clients
  • Enter shift notes, medication logs and other pertinent information in electronic health record
  • Transport clients to and from meetings and outings
  • Ensure clients are completing assignments and tasks
  • Assist with client drug screens
  • Minor crisis intervention
  • Uphold a recovery focused environment
  • Basic kitchen skills


  • CPR/ First Aid Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass drug screen; if in recovery at least one year of sobriety
  • 22 years of age or older


  • Peer support certification
  • Food handler’s permit
  • CNA/ EMT certification
